Tumblr, I love you. It’s gone on long enough and I’m very happy that you’re taking steps to mitigate it, now. I do admit that I preferred the idea of leaving them up but with notices (see: your missing e tactics…) on pages found to be infringing, because that would help to reinforce the open nature of the platform and deflect some of the “OMG TUMBLR IS CENSORING US NOW WTF WILL WE DO?!?!?!” responses. Simply taking down the worst offenders, however, seems justified in many cases of this kind. So, though I do have some reservations and hope to see this exercised fairly, I heartily approve of this development and hope it helps some people.
